When to choose DC servo system and how is it different from DC servo system?

DC servo motor is divided into brush motor and brushless motor.

The brush motor has the advantages of low cost, simple structure, large starting torque, wide speed range, easy control, convenient maintenance (replacing carbon brush), small electromagnetic interference and high environmental protection requirements. Therefore, it can be used in general industrial and civil occasions where the price is sensitive.

Brushless motor has the advantages of small volume, light weight, high power, fast response, high speed, small inertia, smooth rotation and stable torque. Its control is complex, and it is easy to realize intelligently. The electronic commutation mode is flexible, and it can carry out square wave commutation or sine wave commutation. Motor maintenance free, high efficiency, low temperature, low electromagnetic radiation, long service life, suitable for all kinds of environment.

AC servo motor is also brushless motor, which is divided into synchronous motor and asynchronous motor. At present, synchronous motor is widely used in motion control, which has a large power range and can realize high power operation. Large moment of inertia, small maximum rotation speed, with the increase of power decreases rapidly. Therefore, it is suitable for low speed applications.

What should be paid attention to when using?

Answer: Nanjing Mawo company thinks that the following checks should be carried out before power on:

(1) The power supply voltage is appropriate (overvoltage is likely to cause damage to the drive module); the DC input polarity shall not cause wrong connection, and the motor model or current setting value on the drive controller shall be appropriate (not too large at the beginning);

2、 The connection of control signal line is firm, and shielding (such as twisted pair) should be considered in industrial field;

3、 Don't connect all the lines that need to be connected at the beginning, just connect to the most basic system, and then gradually connect them after running well.

4、 It must be made clear whether grounding or floating connection is adopted.

After the start of operation, closely observe the operation of the motor, such as whether the action, volume and temperature are normal. If any problem is found, stop the machine immediately for adjustment.

Want to control the servo motor directly through communication, OK?

It's OK. It's about speed. It's suitable for applications that don't require high response speed. If the response to the control parameters is fast, it is better to use the servo control card, which is generally equipped with DSP and high-speed logic processing circuit to achieve high-speed and high-precision motion control. For example, s acceleration, multi axis interpolation and so on.

4、 Will switching power supply be used to supply power to stepping motor and DC motor system?

In general, it is better not to use high torque motor, unless the switching power supply is more than twice of the required power. Because the motor works with a large inductive load, it will produce instantaneous high voltage to the power source. And the overload performance of switching power supply is not good, the protection will be disconnected, and its precise voltage stabilizing performance is not needed, sometimes it will lead to the damage of switching power supply and driver. Ordinary ring or R-type transformer can be used as DC transformer power supply.
